Professional Teeth Whitening in Bartow, FL
Millions of people feel self-conscious about their smiles due to yellow or dull teeth. While poor hygiene is often blamed, tooth discoloration can also come from aging and natural enamel changes.
Professional teeth whitening can brighten your smile in a single session. It involves applying a hydrogen peroxide gel to the teeth and activating it to release oxygen ions. These ions target and break down deep and surface stains, leaving your teeth whiter. This safe and effective treatment typically causes minimal discomfort.
The team at Peak Dental in Bartow, FL, specializes in teeth whitening. Schedule a consultation today to see which whitening solution fits your needs!

How is professional teeth whitening performed?
Our dental office offers two types of professional teeth whitening services: in-office and custom-made trays.
- In-office. The in-office procedure involves covering sensitive areas in your mouth, such as your lips and gums, to protect them from exposure to the high-concentration hydrogen peroxide gel. We apply the gel directly to your teeth and activate it, allowing it to work briefly before removing the coverings and rinsing the gel.
- Custom-made trays. Alternatively, we can take a custom mold of your teeth to create clear trays that you can use at home with a whitening gel. This method minimizes the risk of the gel affecting your gums or mouth and allows you to whiten your teeth comfortably at home. Place the whitening gel in the trays and insert them into your mouth.

How do I whiten my teeth at home?
If you’re looking for a teeth whitening remedy that you can try at home without visiting a dentist, you can do a few simple things. You can brush with baking powder, use hydrogen peroxide to brush, or rinse occasionally (but cut the peroxide in half to use a 1.5% solution and not a 3% solution, commonly available over the counter). You can also use apple cider vinegar as a brushing or rinsing agent. Eating more fruits and vegetables can benefit your body and teeth, while limiting the intake of foods that stain teeth, such as soda, coffee and wine, is essential. Additionally, limit sugar intake and always remember to brush and floss twice daily, as it is still a powerful tool for maintaining good oral health.
